As you would have have known, on Friday, 14 Dec, there was a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. 20 children and 6 adults were killed in this incident.

Now, this is the important part.

I want to create a project where everyone sends a card or a message to the school, to give them some support and to show that we care, and I want you, or anyone in general to be part of this.

The cards received will be delivered to Sandy Hook Elementary School itself, by a volunteer (more details below!).

This is what you do:
Make a card. Or cards, depending on what you want
Send me a note to say that you're ready to mail it. I will note you back to tell you the address to send it to.
Send it!

The deadline is 31 Dec 2012, which means that you have 2 weeks to make it and send it. (Just to clarify, that volunteer must receive it by the 31 Dec, so that he/she will be able to give it to the school on the 3rd for the New Year.)

Anyway, if you want to be the volunteer I've been, you need to live in Newtown, or somewhere near Newtown. _{I live in Singapore, so...} That's because you'll be delivering the cards to the school personally. Also (if all goes well and the project gets enough publication), you must be willing to have your house flooded with lots and lots of mail! Just send me a note to tell me, and you're in! If you don't want to be the only person receiving the cards, tell me too haha ^^

Also if you don't want to receive the cards BUT want to be there when the volunteer goes to the school, tell me too! The volunteer will also be in charge of getting everyone together.

At the very least, if you don't want to be a volunteer or even send a card D:, just spread the message about this project. That's the only part I'm worried about, so people, SPREAD THE MESSAGE! Like this journal too! We need to get it on the Front Page!

Several people have been asking if there are other ways they can help, because they don't have enough money to send their cards. If you have this problem too, don't worry just go ahead and make your card. You can email the card to me/the volunteer _{(who, by the way, has not appeared yet...)} and we will print it out for you. But my printer's quality is kinda crappy, but I guess that's better than nothing...

Oh, and there is another thing, about the volunteer. If no one volunteers by the 26th of Dec (next Wednesday), we will have to send the cards directly to the school instead. Their address can be found somewhere in this journal. I will send you a note with their address too. So, like I said, if you can volunteer, please do!
